Jamaican Vacations in Hotels in Montego Bay
Jamaica is the the third largest island in Caribbean and one of the top vacation spots in the region. A large number of tourists take trips yearly to this tropical paradise, seeking for unique and unforgettable beach holidays in some of the best beach resorts in the entire Caribbean such as Negril, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Port Antonio, Runaway Bay, Kingston, and Trelawny. Hotels in Jamaica are usually settled on beaches or very close to it and offer excellent accommodation and high quality services. Many Jamaican resorts offer extremely affordable vacation packages, from which a big part are represented by affordable all inclusive deals, so tourists have a plus reason to choose this island when thinking where to spend the next holiday in Caribbean.
The capital city of Kingston is the main gateway to the country, but most holiday makers don't spend to much time there and prefer to book accommodation in more renowned tourist spots in Jamaica such as Montego Bay. It is the second largest city, can be reached with ease through and international airport (named Sir Donald Sangster International Airport) or a cruise line terminal and is famous amongst vacationers due to the very convenient duty free shopping and one of the best beaches in Jamaica, Doctor's Cave Beach. A another main reason why many people go there is the large number of high-class hotels in Montego Bay. The bay is surrounded by low mountains, so the sights are stunningly beautiful and the weather more pleasant as in other parts of the island. On the foots of this mountains are settled some of the best hotel resorts in Jamaica which offer all inclusive vacation packages such as Hotel Grand Palladium Jamaica & Lady Hamilton, Hotel Rose Hall Resort & Spa, Hotel Coyaba, Hotel Holiday Inn Sunspree Resort, and Hotel Breezes Montego Bay. In the area are also other resorts where accommodation is great like Hotel Round Hill, Hotel Half Moon, Hotel Royal Reef Resort, Hotel El Greco, Hotel Emerald Villas, and Hotel Doctors Cave Beach.
Beaches are top attractions in Caribbean and Montego Bay is no exception to this rule. The number of beaches is large in the area and some of the most visited beaches are Doctor's Cave Beach (a 200 meters long beach, renowned since decades for the amazingly beautiful turquoise waters and fine white sand, very safe for swimming; it is part of Montego Bay Marine Park, a protected area due to the numerous coral reefs, so snorkeling is truly great there), Cornwall Beach (great for soaking in the sun and swimming, but usually crowded because it is located close to the hotels and restaurants), Rose Hall Beach Club (a private beach with luxury amenities, a restaurant, and two bars), and Walter Fletcher Beach (where can be enjoyed the best swimming and snorkeling in the bay because is protected from winds, so is a main vacation spot for families with children). On all this beaches tourists have the opportunity to relax under sun-umbrellas, in comfortable beach-chairs, or practice a wide range of water sports like swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sailing, fishing, and others.
The time spent on the beach is excellent, but Montego Bay has many other tourist attractions to visit, such as old colonial-style buildings (like Rose Hall Great House) and museums (the most renowned being Montego Bay Museum), many restaurants whit tasty dishes (the Jamaican cuisine is perhaps the most appreciated in the Caribbean region), shops with cheap products (there are not not applied local or national taxes and duties), world-class golf courses like Half Moon Golf Club, Ironshore Golf & Country Club, Tryall Club Jamaica, White Witch of Rose Hall Golf Course, and Wyndham Rose Hall Golf & Beach Resort, and clubs with live reggae music. From Montego Bay can be taken trips to the neighboring regions to see old sugar cane plantations, and many others. With so many things to do and to see, a short vacation spent in Jamaica isn't enough to enjoy truly its natural and cultural treasures. For this reason in hotels in Montego Bay isn't unusual to meet people who return there every year eager to understand more profoundly the Jamaican way of life.
